Weather Comments
Wind was transporting even in the trees today, small cyclones seen on neighboring ridges. The sun and warm temps didn't seem to effect the surface of the snow or warm too much. Where the wind hadn't touched, surface hoar was growing. Snow was really, really low in the woods still. Too little snow to travel efficiently uphill and enough snow to make avy danger terryfing.

Red Flags Comments
Cracking was happening thru the entire day, shaking small saplings and bushes and echoing with the control work of the resorts. Very recent avalanche was seen on skiers right side of Scott's bowl. Unknown trigger (possible from snowmobile operation), unknown depth, etc. Cracking along the skin track.

Problem #1 Comments

Many, many collapses. Very spooked around anything over 30°

Avalanche Problem #2
Problem
Wind Drifted Snow
Problem #2 Comments

While there was visible transport today, growing wind slabs were not really concerning me.

Comments

Oh so pretty now....

Where there was no surface texture the surface hoar was growing tall out of the wind.
