Snow Characteristics Comments

Overnight storm dropped an average of 15" of light density new snow with some near surface graupel noted. I was surprised to find minimal layering in the snowpack. Old crusts and surface layers were absent and only new snow over depth hoar was found. The snow was extremely reactive and collapse in one area would propagate great distances on all aspects.
