Found nice, fast, soft, recrystallized (or faceted) snow in sheltered shady terrain. Solar warmth causing snow on south facing slopes to be moist and sloppy in the neat of the day and crusty when shaded.

Some potential for loose avalanches on very steep slopes. Dry sluffs in the shade, moist sluffs in the sun.

Evidence of widespread natural avalanches in Hells Kitchen on steep north through east facing slopes at upper elevations from 12/3/17 mid storm cycle.

Large, beautiful surface hoar feathers adorned the snow surface at lower elevations in Franklin Basin and in the Hells Kitchen canyon bottom.
