Went for a climb in the rain this morning in North Ogden; left the trailhead around 0630 with temps at 4,500ft near 40F. The rain/snow line on the west side of the Ogden area is holding around 5,500ft, with accumulation happening at 6,000ft and above. Winds were easterly and generally light, though I'm thinking the wind direction was likely due to local topographic effects in Jumpoff Canyon. Snow from S- to S2 at times.

Rain transitioned to snow starting around 5,500ft and was accumulating as low as 6,000ft. New snow on bare ground; around 0800 accumulation was approximately 4 to 5cm. Snow was dense, stellars and graupel. Pretty much anything you picked up created a snowball. Crampons balled up pretty much immediately.

New snow at 6,000ft, carabiner for scale. Maybe 4 to 5cm dense new snow by 0800.
The northerly aspects (south side) of Jumpoff Canyon at 0800. The cliff/tree line in the photo is approximately 6,000ft.
