Weather Comments
Stayed mostly clear over the Timpanogos massif with a few high clouds, seemed to be a high cloud bank sitting over much of the central wasatch. In the morning (before 10am), noticed a light east wind once entering the upper Timp basin above Primrose. Upon dropping in around 1130 there seeme to be a light NW wind. Tempatures warmed up quickly compared to what we saw yesterday.

Snow Characteristics Comments

Quite a bit of bad snow out there. The north's held very little soft powder snow, quite a bit of wind crusted/shallow wind slabs, varying forms of MF crusts and sun crusts on E-S-W. Some were supportable, much of the snow traveled over that was not bed surface seemed unsupportable. Snow on the SE and S seemed to have a supportable surface, with good refreezes down low, and powder/corn and corn at upper and mid elevations. Snow on the East ridge of Timp and the exit seemed to be perfectly softened top to bottom while skiing between 1130-1230

Red Flags Comments
Lots of wet activity observed probably from the last few days. Did not observe any of these happen today, but there were lots of debris piles and paths that had ran. Observed a loose dry coming out of a NNE facing gully on the point 10,791 above elk point. Also observed an old large glide/wet slab avalanche come off above some rocky cliff bands on a S face in Cascade Cirque.
Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Wet Snow
Problem #1 Comments

With warming and direct sun loose wet seems to be the main concern. Watch your timing and aspects.

Decreasing Danger
Problem #2 Comments

Did not see any of these reactive, but there are some fairly shallow wind slabs that, although stubborn, could potentially release.

Comments

Two pictures of the loose dry pouring out of N NE gully. Two pictures of glide/wet slab on south face in Cascade Cirque. Sorry, I can't get them to orient correctly.
