Snow Characteristics Comments

Depending on aspect and elevation, the snow was a mixed bag. Due north and/or shaded the snow was quite dry but anything else and it was somewhere on the damp/wet spectrum. Fun turning and riding conditions on a very supportable base.

rapid warming combined with yesterday's decent shot of snow was a recipe for predictable human triggered avalanches on slopes steeper than about 38 degrees.

Comments

Found some good test slopes to see how the new snow was reacting to the sun/heating. We managed to pushalanche quite a bit but only on steep slopes. They all ran further than we expected and entrained quite a bit of snow.

Other than that generally good stability.
