Problem #2 Comments

Clouds and a breeze kept the lid on heating and we did not find any slopes with sloppy surface snow in Franklin Basin.

Comments

We observed large glide cracks on the east face of Wilderness Peak. Looks like folks are wisely not messing around on the steep slope under it. You never know when a glide avalanche might occur, especially when it's warm.

We dug about 6' deep to the ground and found deep, hard and stable snow on a southwest facing slope near the ID/UT state line at 7700'.
