Problem #1 Comments

We observed significant drifting of the light snow from sustained strong west wind. Triggered wind slab and cornice fall avalanches likely, naturals are possible.

Problem #2 Comments

Triggered soft slab and loose avalanches are certainly possible. The snow was a bit inverted, heavier on top. We triggered cracking and localized collapses. The weakness was on the interface between this morning's snow and yesterday's snow surface... I couldn't see for sure today, but I did notice small grained faceted surface snow in the area yesterday.

We observed a few fresh natural sluffs on very steep slopes involving new snow.

We found fantastic powder riding...
