Beautiful sunny day with hardly a breath of wind. Solar aspects taking on heat and high alpine terrain got hammered by ENE winds earlier this week.

Snow Characteristics Comments

Full gamut of snow surface conditions found for "off" aspects, but northerlies holding soft settled snow.

Lots of NSF forming on wind sheltered, shady, north facing slopes. Might become a player if they're preserved and buried.

Large corni and shallow wind slabs appear to be the only avalanche game in town right now.

Not quite ready to put this to bed, but thinking we're getting closer.
