Observation: Red Baldy

Cracking

From White Pine, we followed a skin track to the flank of one of the rock bands near the middle of Rock & Roll just before it opens up above White Pine Lake (NE Aspect, 10,500 ft.) As I was ripping skins, I noticed a faint crack shooting downhill along the rock band. The crack was maybe 1 to 2cm wide and ran for about 25ft (sorry no photo). I wasn't sure if I triggered it or the party that went before us. In speaking with that party later, I learned that one of them had triggered the crack. Forecaster: perhaps a small wind slab?
