Snow Characteristics Comments

New snow depth varied with location 6-12 inches. It didn't quite cover all the old tracks. The skin track was slippery in spots. New snow was mostly well bonded to old snow surface. There were natural sluffs coming out of steep rocky areas. Ski cuts on steep slopes produced sluffs which didn't run far and lacked much energy. Wind seems to have destroyed most of the surface hoar that existed prior to the storm. I didn't poke around in wind sheltered areas though.
