Comments

All obs were above 8400 feet. Conditions seemed stable. We did not experience any cracking or collapsing nor see any recent avalanches. No cracking was seen in old wind drifts and wind slabs. I dug on all aspects and could not find any layers that caused concern. There was one spot (see attached profile) that had buried surface hoar and small facets but it did not propagate cracks in ECT's. Nor would this layer crack when sidehilling above another track.

The snow surface has small surface hoar crystals in most places. On some aspects they are sitting on top of a razor thin, soft, crust. See first picture.

There has been a temperature inversion in place. See second picture.
