Video
We were able to find a little weak sugary faceted snow at 10000'. It was a layer a few inches thick near the ground. It was not reactive in tests. We did not experience any collapsing either. It seems that this layer of weak snow may not be significant in producing avalanches although we have not been able to travel to many areas to investigate yet. It is only located on the highest more northerly facing terrain. We did not notice it's presence at 9500' or lower.
