Problem #1 Comments

There is 20- 26 inches of snow on the ground at 7200 ft in this area. Before the recent dump I believe it was bare below about 7000ft. I could not find any old snow below 7000ft. and the pack that is there is all non-cohesive dry powder without any slab. When standing off of the skis, my boots were on the ground. I had no collapsing, cracking or fractures with stability testing at this elevation, which I attribute to being in only wind protected new snow areas without old snow or windslab. I presume this may change with additional snow.

Photo shows the brush on the normally open lower elevation slope. (phone/camera died, so only one photo)
