Didn't dig a pit, from what we could tell everything on the ground was new snow. Coverage up high was sufficient for incredible turns, down low will need some more snow to fill in the brush but totally ride-able if slalom racing is your thing! Snow depth decreased as we approached the ridgeline from the west which tells me some snow was being deposited on the eastern faces, however we didn't explore.
