Snow Characteristics Comments
About 4 inches of dense new snow over the old. Skinning towards East Bowl Pass out of Grizz on a southwest facing slope, we were getting frequent collapses under our skis as we climbed, and pole probes revealed saturated unsupportable old snow under the new. Stepping off of skis would cause you to sink to waist. Turned around at around 9500' before things got steeper.
