The weather was warm with periodic precipitation. The precip was rain down below, but turned to graupel as we climbed up.

The snow was mostly saturated and punchy. There had not been a freeze up there in some time. We did find nicer snow that was skiable in the north-facing trees off of Horsehead.

There was a small amount of supportable snow, but mostly it was saturated and "sink to the ground" type snow on all aspects except north. Yuck!
