Comments

Took a quick trip to Cardiff this morning before I left for the LaSals, Seems like most of the new snow instabilities have stabilized except for some wind pockets in steeper terrain. Noted one old slide in Cardiac Bowl that looked to have happened yesterday or the day before. Also noted some skier triggered wind slabs off the high ridge lines, but they seemed fairly predictable and easy to manage with ski cuts. wet activity was starting on SE facing Cardiac Ridge at 11:30am and probably got more active after I left. Skiing back down to Alta on south facing revealed that it was getting damp and time to move off the S aspects. High N will still have dry snow in the AM not so sure about E and W if I had to guess their both going to have some sort of heat crust in the morning.

Photos: forgot my camera so their not the best quality, Natural activity from the storm in Cardiac Bowl, skier triggered soft slabs on Cardiac Ridge area, wet activity on SE facing Cardiac Ridge
