Comments

Travel today was up from Alta over Cardiff Peak with the entry into Cardiff via LSB ( Little Superior Buttress), on to Cardiac Ridge then into Mineral Fork by way of the Room of Doom with the exit out Mineral into BCC. The new snow has settled out quite a bit, sluffing was a thing of the past even on the steepest slopes, heard there was allot of wind damage on the northerly aspects but did not note any in the upper Cardiac area or in the Room of Doom, wind slabs were non existent, just settled creamy snow in the terrain covered. E facing Cardiac Ridge received enough sun and heat to get damp and will have a zipper crust in the AM. Only activity noted today was wet point releases of of SE facing Cardiac Ridge. There was one notable slide in No Mongo No in Mineral Fork looked to happen the night before last during the increased wind speed, looked to be new snow only, came out of the steep upper chutes and stopped about 2\3 track when it hit lower angle terrain.

Photos: wet activity on SE facing Cardiac Ridge, the new snow slide in Mineral Fork, and wishing everyone a happy and snowy Easter break
