Snow Characteristics Comments

Around one inch of light density snow again at the white pine trailhead which turned into around five or six inches at upper elevations. Similar mini storm to last Friday but without the strong pre frontal winds. Light density snow seamed to stay dry on all aspects but steep south and east slopes at mid elevations and lower. I could just barely make a snowball at noon on steep east aspects.

Problem #1 Comments

Upper elevation east and north aspects had a few shallow slabs that pooped out up two a foot deep in places. Most of these were on aspects with north in them. The ones we came accost seamed to have been cross loaded from the west winds.
