Snow Characteristics Comments

No formal pit today. Multiple hand pits in north facing upper Argenta start zone showed q1 shears 25cm down. CT-8 Q1 on the same layer failing on buried near surface facets. I wouldn't rule out getting a soft slab failure on this layer in convex north facing terrain. 5mm surface hoar observed in sheltered north facing terrain. Test slope and ski cuts throughout the morning showed loose snow sluffing only, no cracking or slab formation.

Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
No major red flags noted. Potential for loose wet activity around rocks on sunny south facing terrain this afternoon. Winds did well keeping snow surface temperatures cool during the morning.
