Snow Characteristics Comments
Saw it all today... Surface hoar near the start of laurell highway. Moist and heavy at the bottom of gold basin (considered glob stopper wax but never applied) found some blower pow hanging around in the trees. Plenty of facets through the talus and a variety of crusts up high and along ridge top

*Specific to our tour* Steeps felt like they wanted to sluff... (we were avoiding areas where wind slabs were suspect)

Problem #2 Comments
Pockets of wind slab present. Seemed small and didn't appear very sensitive. No formal tests, just pole probes, kick turn cut jumps (is that a term??) etc. We avoided areas of high concern so may still harbour lurking monsters. Moderate danger rating felt appropriate.
