After digging this pit, we discovered there had been a skier triggered slide nearby. This snowpack is incredibly weak.

Also, we looked at the South aspects while descending Binx's. I was surprised how fragile the crust is under the new snow. There is a thick and obvious layer of facets under the crust which ranges in thickness from 1/4 inch to 2 inches depending on slope orientation. The most likely spot for avalanches to break on S aspects will be within the new snow. If we were to get more of a load, avalanches could break over wider areas if the facets below the crust were to fracture. Perhaps at the highest elevations? Especially if winds switch to the NW on Saturday.
