Snow Characteristics Comments
Fantastic conditions on the main face. We did our first lap from the argenta ridge, just west of kessler peak. I would avoid that area. While there was no evidence of recent slide activity, the December avalanche cycle has left a chaotic mix of downed trees, big chunks, and lurking rocks towards the top, where the crown is still visible down to a few inches from the ground in some places. Second run was more rewarding, staying in the main face and getting excellent turns all the way down, hanging skier's right after exiting the basin. I think greaseball would a prime target, there was no natural activity and it is well filled in. Not sure it slid in December though, no visible debris.
