Red Flags Comments
This red flag is only of concern after we receive some more significant snow. Weak faceted sugary snow is lurking under the new snow.
Comments
The avalanche danger remains LOW right now but I found more weak snow near the ground than I care to see. This weak snow could become an active weak layer once we receive more snow. I'm not crying wolf yet but this is a situation that we will monitor closely as time goes on.
The snowpack is still somewhat supportable if you are on skis or if you get off the trails on your sled. However, if you give it a little throttle, the track will easily sink through to the ground.
