Problem
Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #1 Comments

Drifted areas had the most reactive snow, with a stiffer and heavier slab layer. All tests pointed to failure on weak faceted snow beneath the freshly formed slab. In many cases I found a thin rime layer at the old/new interface, just above the reactive facets..
