Went to the PC Ridgeline from BCC today was curious about how much new snow was there and the condition of the snow on the ground. What I discovered is a facet factory running full blast. Both West and South Monitor, have around a foot of snow and the snow is not layered, the surface snow is supper loose and the lower pack is well on it's way to being completely faceted too. Not a good sign when even the more easterly facing part of South Monitor is faceted to the ground and not much chance of recovering unless the temps get really warm, but I wouldn't count on that, the sun angle is so low right now its just going to get weaker. I did experience some cracking and settlements on the ridgeline but once i got into the bowl it was just a facet fest.
