headed out to emigration canyon (HWY 36) just east of Montpelier, ID just below the summit. About 4 inches at the trailhead maybe 8-9 on top at about 8600 ft i believe. dug some pits and did some column compression tests. they were failing 4-7 hand taps just under that ice/rime layer. hope that info helps you out
