Hard to tell snow amounts the stuff was blown all over the place, from belly deep drifts to wind scoured dirt snow. Some dense creamy snow out of the wind at mid elevations, damp snow below 8500ft.

Comments

Par for this season, best storm of the year yesterday, wind jacked and scoured today by the east winds. Strong east winds were scouring the E-NE-N facing terrain down to the dirty snow and creating upside down conditions, wind slabs and wind crust on the leeward slopes. Going with a picture says a thousand words. Photos, South Monitor, West Monitor, wind blasting at least until we left at 2:00pm, dense and creamy at mid elevation wind sheltered.

Did not note much hazard today, think the wind was hammering the new snow into submission, might want to look out for rough wind slabs tomorrow on the wind exposed leeward slopes also looks like heating may be a issue by then.
