Comments
Went up for a quick after work tour to Suicide Chute. My excessive Grandeur Peak running and lacking knowledge of the spring snowpack had me hesitant to hit anything S. Facing (due to coverage), but I skied the Superior Apron all the way to the road (probably the lowest S. Facing line you can do this to now). No huge concerns, however, the sluffs did move quite fast and if you were spring skiing (i.e. hitting bigger lines) an out of control sluff could have severe consequences especially given the low snowpack. A few more inches and I would have made a second run, but that crust had a way of keeping me from getting too excited. All things considered a nice little spring storm, but given the lack of tracks I'm gonna say most people have hung up their sticks for the season.
