Red Flags Comments
Barely enough to warrant mentioning, however the wind was transporting snow on the ridge lines. Save for the most exposed and high consequence lines this is probably not much of an issue.
Comments
Figured that not too many people would be out in the BC, and with no regular advisories, any and all info would be useful. I just took a quick jaunt up to Cardiff saddle. A ton of snow has melted on the south faces and even with colder temps, there were flowing streams from the saturated ground. I was hoping that 2" of snow would be just enough to smooth things out a bit and make for some fun turns. I think either a smoother old snow surface or a bit more snow is necessary for making good turns right now. Cardiff was neither, but it still feels good to move the legs.
