A solid freeze overnight provided easy booting conditions early morning. We skied perfect corn during our 10am descent.
Comments
As of 3/30, the SE face of Mt Peale still offers 3,000 ft of corn skiing. The apron allows for continuous skiing along the left and right margins, but it doesn't have much time left. With the cooler temps in the forecast, I think there is a good chance it will still be in next weekend. A big thank you to the Moab UAC guys who gave us the beta on how to access the peak when we ran into them on Mellenthin the day before.
There is a good looking SE facing line on Mellanthin that is still holding snow.
