Went back to White Pine again on my day off for a walk in the alpine and some corn. Very good corn again on most aspects and elevations, mostly supportable and soft, at least in the afternoon. People were skiing most everything in upper White Pine with several hardcore parties doing laps and big tours on all the big terrain and many people skiing alone. Most slopes have tracks all over them.

Red Flags Comments
I did not notice anything today too alarming. The clouds and moderate wind kept wet activity in check and people were skiing with abandon in all the big, steep terrain, a couple of them were confident enough to do it alone. With the cooler temperatures and clouds, the threat of wet activity is probably over and it looks like we will have up to 8 inches of fresh snow by Wednesday morning, so we will be back in the new snow mode.
Comments

Some debris from the wet activity probably a few days ago in the Rainbow Ridge area. It's hard to tell how old this is, I'm guessing 2-3 days.

My wife, Susi, getting ready to top out on the Red Baldy ridgeline with the Pfeifferhorn in the background. The high clouds in the afternoon started to put a pre-storm gloom over the range. But still a great day to ramble around in the mountains on corn snow that was quite good on all aspects and elevations.

Looking like late spring and barely past winter.
