The snowmobilers have been out in force since the snow stopped falling, providing ample slope testing with no visible results. Quick pits and stomping around on switchback corners revealed a slight propensity for cracking in the new snow, but only on the steepest test slopes, and not propagating readily. The consolidation of the new snow into a slab had me a bit on edge (moreso than Monday, when there was no slab in sight), but the lack of cracking and propagation in tests corroborated by the myriad snowmobile tracks (including three huge cornice hucks!) made me feel a little better. I would expect, however, that in the right place, like a narrow sheltered gully or couloir, a small avalanche could have been found today. Classic moderate. However, time and warm temps will make that danger dissipate even further tomorrow, bringing the focus squarely to wet avalanches. Slab avalanche danger will be low in this area tomorrow. Wet avalanche hazard will be moderate at a minimum on steep sun exposed terrain, possibly rising to considerable depending on air temperatures.
