Snow Characteristics Comments

Another 2 inches of fluff overnight...storm snow settled to about 12-15. Wind affected mainly along the ridgelines, but some crossloading down into mid elevation terrain. Overall was not finding the new snow overly slabby, and other groups noted the same. New snow got damp below about 9,000 beginning around noon, damp up to around 9,500 by 2 pm.

Red Flags Comments
Lots of evidence of shallow soft slabs that ran during peak precipitation on Tuesday, but didn't note anything that stepped down into old snow.

Problem #1 Comments

Was highly skeptical of E and SE facing terrain, but overall any slabs appeared to be soft and to have mostly settled out. Still skeptical of the new slab over areas with a thin snowpack, but given the pockety nature of these thin areas, and upcoming high pressure, they may settle out OK.
