Snow Characteristics Comments

18"+ new snow noted over the past few days with density breaks noted a foot down and at the old interface. These breaks seem academic in nature and should heal soon...though isolated SS reported by others. We observed no slab activity and only saw natural loose snow debris piles in the size 1-2 category. These noted in the steeper terrain...and even in the runout of the Y lower canyon.

Weaknesses from Feb 9 and buried Feb 20 now 2-3' down and unreactive in a number of test pits in north facing terrain. May be more reactive where UAC staff has noted the interface in east Kessler and the Brighton periphery. Forecast looks to remain cold tomorrow - wind/sun will be of interest - particularly in the Provo mountains as they've received almost 2.5" SWE.
