Weather Comments
Things don't look like the middle of February, but this morning's single digit temperatures in town and teens at the trailhead made it feel like winter. Maybe a dusting of new snow in the parking lot and looked like and inch or so at the higher elevations.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Hard frozen tracks this morning and things never really softened today with cooler weather. It was one of those mornings where you needed scratchers to keep the sled cool until you could fine soft snow to ride in.

Wind Loading
Red Flags Comments
Just some minor wind loading going on while I was out in the area today, this was mainly along the higher ridglines. Did not see any recent avalanche activity and really nobody has been in the area lately.

Problem #1 Comments
Have not heard or seen of any deeper avalanches in the area, but this would be a likely place for a person to stumble into something as the snowpack is thinner on this east side.
