Comments

Traveled from 7400-10,400, all aspects, slope angles to 38°. Snow was damp below 9K and very wet below 8K. Traveled looking for good skiing and northerly, protected upper elevation terrain provided. The last two mini storms have made a big difference in riding conditions, even on none northerly aspects. Sluffing common on steep northerly facing terrain, enough so to knock you down if you weren't paying attention. Other than that, not much has changed. No pits today. Wind slab and surface snow the biggest issues tomorrow.

This happened earlier in the day today. New snow most likely failed on weak facets in a shallow east facing snowpack below the cliff band.
