Comments

This was the first time into Huntington Canyon this season. The pack is totally different than the central Skyline area where most people are recreating. Huntington Canyon is much shallower and subsequently has seen much more faceting. Definitely the weakest snow we've seen this season. This may change though as the continued warmth is changing those facets.

Video

Things were getting saturated enough at the lower elevations that we were starting to be able to create 'push-a-lanches' on the very steep slopes. They were gouging into the facets that had become wet.
