Went to Days Fork today to check out how much the surface has faceted, read a couple reports about it being quite loose, with a good amount of facet sluffing occurring. Kinda surprising but I couldn't buy much of a facet sluff in even the most steep and protected areas, and by steep I mean reaching almost 50 degrees. Only surface sluffing was noted, not entraining much snow at all. Ski cut steep slopes in Main Days, Banana Days and Chicken Shit Ridge, with only surface sluffing noted. Not sure if a not so cold night and a warm day was the reason for the lack of substantial sluffing but it was basically non existent in the terrain covered. South facing was getting damp and punchy by 11:00 AM. Photos, largest sluff I could get to run in steep, shady terrain, pretty benign in my opinion, faceted snow and settlement cones in the drainage bottom, and a little scenery,
