Comments
Went back to the Monitors today after being completely shut down yesterday by fog, wind damage was non existent which was a surprise to me because the wind was hitting it from the NE yesterday. Discovered a nice avalanche on the center punch of South Monitor, not really surprising, the slopes was getting cross loaded all day yesterday, put that one on the Avy list. Also of note was some minor activity in West Monitor, point releases that spread out and entrained a fair amount of snow in the process. New snow instabilities were non existent in the terrain covered today, the wind slabs were non reactive. Surface hoar was noted in drainage bottoms and on the slopes. Photos, Activity in South Monitor and West Monitor, surface hoar growth
