Wind was getting funneled up through terrain features. Noticed micro bursts that came from East and South. Observed Graupel through out the day.

Notice thick (1 inch) rain crust on all aspects @8200. Once above 8200 it diminished into a denser layer of snow beneath our skis.

Used a small 40degree test slope on a E-NE feature and kicked off a 15" new snow slab that failed on new snow old snow interface. Crown was about 10ft wide. Heard extensive whoomping.
