Minor snow amounts in the Whitney area right now and whats out there is mostly weak top to bottom. Only about 6-8" deep, but hopefully that will change this weekend.

Problem #1 Comments
No real big issues at the moment, but with forecasted snow, wind and water weight, the snow and avalanche conditions could change in a hurry. There is little structure to the snowpack right now and with some decent snow amounts it won't take much to overload the weak snow that is out there now.
Comments
A couple photos of the Whitney area with slopes that are south and east facing, both of which do not have much snow right now. Only about 6-8" of snow in this area.
