Early in the day, I kicked a few cornices overhanging steep south terrain and was able to get the last 3 inches of snow to slide to the valley floor.

Comments

I went back up to investigate the slide I accidentally triggered last Wednesday. I found 6 cm of facets 45 cm down. The facets were capped with a 30 cm one finger hard slab. The slide occurred on the very top of the facets.. My stability test was ECTX but I was able to pull out the entire block with my shovel. Q3 sheer.
