Snow Characteristics Comments
Cool temps and clouds kept the snow soft and cold on the north half of the compass above 8K. Hard to tell how much new snow there was but the skiing was bottomless; I'd say 10"-15" of settled storm snow.

Red Flags Comments
No real red flags today as I was traveling. Kept in mind the recent winds.

Problem #1 Comments
Where we were traveling the wind slabs that were created over the last couple of days were pretty well glued in place. In the big open alpine terrain, it would probably have been a different story.
Comments
Traveled from 7600-10,300 ft. on the north half of the compass.
The instabilities from yesterday had settled out and cool temps and lack of direct sun kept the snow soft and dry. We were able to ski steeper terrain out of the wind zone with no sluffing or signs of instability. With no wind to speak of today, heating will be the factor to watch tomorrow.
