Snow Characteristics Comments
The new snow continued to ski well this morning on N facing slopes without crusts. I found some cracking up high on the ridge in recent wind loaded snow, but it was sufficiently bonded to keep it in place and was very localized to the ridge. Below the ridges the snow was quite stable with the exception of sluffing in the top few inches as slope angles became very steep (40+), but this was manageable and did not entrain snow beyond the top few inches, nor did it trigger any slabs. Today was one of the best days of the season in terms of nexus of stability and snow quality. I think I've said that a few times in the last 8 days, but it is true every time!
