Comments
Generally, good bonding of the new snow to the old snow even on very steep slopes (40 degrees+) except in one spot a few hundred vertical feet above the Sincline Trail which I've noted on the map. I was skinning up this short, steep section (40 degrees) when right after making a kick turn, an 8' to 12' section (very loose slab) cut loose, slid a few feet down, and was stopped by my skin track below the kick turn. I am giving a considerable rating for tomorrow because with daytime warming likely tomorrow, I expect the new snow to become more cohesive and able to slide as a loose/wet slab. Also, I really dislike the requirement that observers provide an estimate of "tomorrows danger rating." I don't think observers should be asked to do this and it's generally impossible to know the basis for the observer's estimate.
