16" of new snow on the storm board today. 55" total at the Gold Basin Plot. Dug a quick pit on a north facing slope at the end of the the road. Starting from the ground about 30" of completely rotten old snow and then a 2.5-3 " medium soft slab that I think was from last weeks storm? and then 12" of very light density snow from the last few days. Got an uneven and irregular shear at the new snow/slab interface with 4 taps from the elbow (CT 14).
