Problem #1 Comments

Snowpack consists of mainly wind slab and facets of varing degree. We chose to dig at this location due to the depth of the snow. At 120cm it was the deepest snow we had seen in a while. ECT test resulted in two failures one down about 40cm at ECTP 22 and the second just below the dirty crust near the ground ECT 30+. This area receives alot of wind and loading thus the denser slab. Even so the entire snowpack showed signs of faceting.
