Snow Characteristics Comments
Skied WNW aspect of East Bowl in Silver Fork today-new snow was a little bit wind consolidated but good skiing, and stable at 32ish degrees. However lower down, just below the confluence of East Bowl and West Bowl, at about 9,000ft, WNW aspect, in wind sheltered terrain, there was lots of whumping on low angle terrain. There was about 18" of light powder from the last storm, then 12 inches of very loose facets, to the ground. No slab or crust to speak of, but very unstable.
